Moving To Uxbridge? - Building A Community Of Character - A Community

February 21, 2011 - Updated: February 21, 2011

A Community "That Forgives"

Uxbridge is a community that has seen it's share of tragedy. Most communities have, but how do we respond when something happens? It does not take long for a community to be full of hurt and deep scars from the past. How can a community keep from being scared and hurt from the effects of strained relationships and those who would seek revenge?

Meet Dale Lang who lived through such a tragic situation, hear how Dale and his family dealt with the tragic shooting of Jason Lang by a 14 year old student, how after Jason's  funeral dale and his family walked to the school and while in a circle around the spot where Jason was shot asked gods blessings on the family of the boy who shot Jason.

Home Energy Retrofit Grants - Deadlines

January 28, 2011 - Updated: January 28, 2011

Home Energy Retrofit Grants - Deadlines for Eligibility

The federal and provincial governments provided an opportunity for home owners to apply for grants for homeowners who undertake renovations that improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

While it may be too late for some if you have had your initial audit completed but have not finished your updates or had your post retrofit audit done the deadline for doing so is fast approaching. These programs are coming to a close as of March 31, 2011.  See deadlines for eligibility below.

  • Before undertaking any renovations, homeowners must first have an energy audit of their home performed by a licensed service organization (list of auditors provided at government web site address provided below) ..... BEFORE March 31, 2010. The evaluation report provided customized recommendations for renovations to improve the energy efficiency of the home.  Once the homeowner had completed the renovations, a second audit must be undertaken within 18 months of the first one to determine the change in the home's energy efficiency.

  • Deadlines for eligibility:  Home energy retrofit grants are provided by both the federal and provincial governments.  Both programs are ending as of March 31, 2011.  To be eligible for federal grants, homeowners must have booked a pre-retrofit audit BEFORE March 31, 2010 and have the post-retrofit audit completed by March 31, 2011, or within 18 months of the date of the pre-retrofit evaluation (whichever comes first).   Homeowners who booked a pre-retrofit audit AFTER March 31, 2010 can only access grants from the provincial government, but must also complete their post-retrofit audit completed by March 31, 2011.

Dr Wilson has led a team of up to 40 members in each of the last four years  to Ghana to provide medical, surgical, and optical care to thousands of patients without access to health care.

Laurel Gillispie has joined the International Justice Mission as a journalist and will speak about young girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking with the help of IJM ..... IJM is a human rights organization that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression

My contact information, phone, fax, email and street address remain the same . I look forward to working with the new team, and bringing up to the minute information and service to my clients.
