Where Do We Go From Here?
The first quarter of 2014 produced some unusual trends for the Uxbridge real estate market.
In looking at 3 of the last four years we see that sales along with new listings and active listings all were on an upward trend in the first quarter.
To the contrary this past quarter we saw sales follow the trend but the number of new listings and active listings declined.
While the number of sales in Uxbridge in any given month is generally not large enough to predict accurate trends in values we do know that supply and demand can effect the price. If the current trend for sales continues to climb and the current trend for listings continues shrinking we can expect prices to rise even more.
On the other hand if the trends we have seen in the second quarter in the past, where the number of sales levels off but listing inventory continues to grow, come into play that price growth will become moderate or even level off
